Good Morning Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests, and fellow advocates of peace and resolution,
I will like to stand on existing protocol
It is my great honor to introduce to you the Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution Development and Conflict Management. Today marks a significant milestone in our collective pursuit of creating a more harmonious and dispute-free society.
The Institute is born out of the recognition that conflicts are an inherent part of human interaction, and also out of the conviction that these conflicts need not escalate into destructive and costly disputes. Our mission is to provide a platform for individuals, organizations, and communities to resolve disputes efficiently, effectively and peacefully.
We live in a world where conflicts are increasingly common, and traditional litigation is often costly, time-consuming, and damaging to relationships.
That’s why we believe alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods – such as mediation, arbitration, and negotiation – are essential tools for the 21st century.
At the Institute, we are committed to:
1.Providing cutting-edge training and certification programs for dispute resolution professionals.
2.Conducting research and developing innovative ADR methods-especially developing those ADR Processes which are original to our socio, political and economic peculiarities. Owning these processes and allowing us to find peace through these means which are peculiar and germaine to us as a people
3.Conflict Management – Having trained and imbibed these Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms, using same to manage Conflicts and disputes in our immediate environment. Thereby ensuring a conflict free Nigeria, West Africa, Africa and indeed the world.
A herculean task it seems, but it can be done. We need to ensure a peaceful environment to every individual to live in and conduct business. We owe it to our country. We owe it to the unborn generation.
4. Promoting public awareness of the benefits of ADRs.
5. Fostering partnerships with governments, businesses, and civil society organizations to advance conflict management and dispute resolution.
6. Our team consists of experienced negotiaters, mediators, arbitrators, and conflict resolution experts dedicated to helping individuals and organizations manage conflicts constructively. We believe that every dispute presents an opportunity for growth, understanding, and reconciliation.
It’s a robust gathering of the Nigerians foremost professionals from all walks of life to bring about a harmonious existence of all Nigerians from the top echelons to the simplest of all communal life in every sector of the Nigerian existence.
